MAX Blue Line affected by two week improvement project
TriMet began a two-week construction project on the oldest MAX line between Portland and Gresham on Sunday, Sept. 22.
TriMet's Blue Line service will end and begin service at the Rockwood/E 188th Avenue station over the next two weeks as improvement projects are completed across a 2.3-mile stretch along its east end.
Sunday marked the first day of construction, but Monday will be the first day commuters will feel the pinch. Work ends on Oct. 5.
Shuttle buses will be serving the five final stations at the end of the line.
This improvement project includes upgrades, repairs and replacements at rail crossings and places where tracks cross the roads.
TriMet said it believes riders and motorists alike will end up feeling the difference made.
