Morrison Bridge reopens after malfunction
The Morrison Bridge was reopened late Sunday morning following a malfunction during a test opening.
According to the Multnomah County Communications Office, the drawbridge did not fully close at the end of the test around 7:45 a.m. on Oct. 6. It reopened around 10:45 a.m. after repairs.
During the closure, the county advised commuters to use the Burnside and Hawthorne bridges while the Morrison Bridge — but to also be aware of any closures connected to the Portland Marathon, which started Sunday monring.
The Morrison Bridge may need to be tested later Sunday.
