Officers with the Portland Police Bureau are investigating reports of gunfire on a downtown street corner last month, the department announced Tuesday, Oct. 8.
Central Precinct officers responded to Southwest Ninth Avenue between West Burnside and Oak streets around 2:44 a.m. on Sept. 14. According to a statement, police said no one was injured in the shooting, but dispatchers received "numerous calls for service."
The Gun Violence Reduction Team says the suspect is believed to be a white male, standing 6- feet-2-inches tall with long hair tied in a bun. He is believed to have fled the scene in a dark green or gray mid-2000s Ford Escape.
Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Meghan Burkeen at 503-823-2092.
