Court docs: Employee had sex with inmate in Portland prison
An Oregon Department of Corrections employee faces an 18-count indictment after she allegedly had sex with an inmate inside a Portland jail — and then asked a potential witness to keep quiet.
Renee Lee Larsen, 54, of East Portland, faces five counts of first-degree custodial sexual misconduct, 10 counts of second-degree custodial sexual misconduct, as well as one count each for first- and second-degree official misconduct and witness tampering.
Multnomah County prosecutors say Larsen worked at the Columbia River Correctional Institution, a minimum security facility at 9111 N.E. Sunderland Ave., when the incident took place over an eight-month period beginning in January, 2017.
Authorities say Larsen also attempted to sway a witness in the case to withhold their testimony.
Larsen has no criminal record other than traffic violations, according to court records. In this incident bail was posted by David Larsen, records say.
