A woman has been arrested after Portland police say she jumped behind a pharmacy counter and began destroying merchandise.
Central Precinct officers responded to the Target store, 939 S.W. Morrison St., around 11:27 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27.
Officers say the woman was pushing over shelves and swinging a large metal pole to attack the rows of equipment and medicine.
Authorities say the woman dropped the pole and was taken into custody "without incident" after officers arrived.
"Target indicated that nearly all the medications, medical supplies and shelves were destroyed," according to a news release. "The business estimates the damage to total over $100,000."
Ashley Daniel, 21, of Portland, faces charges of criminal mischief, burglary and disorderly conduct. She had been living on the streets for the past five years, according to 2017 court records.
Daniel remains at the downtown jail at this time.
