Amazon is seeking to hire 500 more workers in Oregon in addition to the 1,000 it has hired in the state since March 16.
A spokesperson said Amazon had already hired 100 new associates for its Salem location in the past three weeks.
According to a release from the company, the minimum pay for new positions is $17 per hour through the end of April with company benefits upon starting and new hires starting immediately.
Interviews, orientation and training sessions will take place online.
Amazon opened its Salem distribution warehouse in August 2019 with about 1,000 employees.
The company said it intends to fill positions including picking, packing and shipping orders and delivering packages from stations to meet the demand due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
