Milwaukie police investigate stabbing on Trolley Trail
A man was arrested on an attemted murder charge after allegedly stabbing another man who walked around his homeless campsite in Milwaukie.
At around 3 p.m. Sunday, April 17, 44-year-old Gary R. O'Conner was reportedly involved in a disturbance with 45-year-old Kenyatta Green at a transient camp near the Trolley Trail, near the intersection of Southeast 26th Avenue and Sparrow Street.
Milwaukie police say O'Conner contacted Green after hearing him walking around his campsite, an interaction that apparently resulted in O'Conner being stabbed multiple times by Green.
Police say O'Conner's wounds in his upper torso are not life threatening, and he is expected to make a full recovery. Green was lodged at the Clackamas County Jail and is facing charges of attempted murder, assault and unlawful use of a weapon.
