An Estacada resident died in a car crash on Highway 224 near Barton.

Around 11:23 p.m. Friday, June 19, emergency responders received a report of a crash on Highway 224 near Southeast Dale Lane.

An initial investigation found that a red 1992 Ford F150 collided head-on with a white 2014 Dodge Ram tow truck after crossing into the westbound lane while traveling east.

The driver of the Ford, Kelly Ann Mumby, 59, of Estacada, was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries.

The Dodge Ram was driven by Gary Smith, 56, of Portland. Jennifer Sampson, 28, of Vancouver, Washington, was a passenger in the vehicle. Both were transported with serious injuries to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland.

Oregon State Police, the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, Clackamas County Fire, AMR and the Oregon Department of Transportation responded to the incident.
