UPDATE: Two men are hospitalized after shootings in the Irvington and woodlawn neighborhoods.

KOIN 6 NEWS - Police crime scene tape.Police are investigating two Sunday shootings that left two men wounded.

The names of the victims were not immediately released. No suspect information was available, either.

According to police, in the first shooting, a man was wounded in the Irvington neighborhood. Officers were called out to Northeast Knott Street at Northeast 7th Avenue around 12:45 p.m. on Aug. 16. When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot in the leg.

Police described the injury as non-life-threatening after the victim was taken to the hospital. The investigation indicated that it was a drive-by shooting and the suspects involved drove off before police arrived.

Authorities said there were numerous people in the area at the time of the shooting and have asked that anyone with information about the incident call the police non-emergency line at 503-823-3333.

In the second shooting, a man suffered a gunshot wound after a drive-by shooting in the Woodlawn neighborhood.

According to police, at 12:10 a.m. on Aug. 17, North Precinct officers responded to a call of a shooting near Northeast 15th Avenue and Northeast Dekum Street. The victim was in his vehicle and had a gunshot wound to his arm.

Medical personnel responded and he was transported to a hospital by ambulance. His wound is believed to be non-life threatening.

The victim told officers he was driving his pickup truck and had been shot by someone in a passing car.
