In the midst of the current (Image is Clickable Link) The Pamplin Media Group is seeking nominations for Community Heroes. pandemic, there is no shortage of examples. Many, many people have stepped up, whether in their everyday jobs or in their volunteer capacities, to assist others in these difficult times.

A Community Hero can be your neighbor, your colleague, your friend, employee or someone you see making a positive impact. A hero exemplifies how a person with passion and determination can make a difference.

But Community Heroes can only be selected after being nominated by someone like you. So we encourage you to nominate an individual in your community who you feel is deserving.

The deadline for nominations is Friday, Sept. 4. The news team from each Pamplin Media Group newspaper will make the final selections for their local Community Hero. These Community Heroes will be honored in a special section distributed throughout the Pamplin Media Group network of newspapers, as well as on all our local websites.
