COURTESY PHOTO: PORTLAND POLICE BUREAU - Potential witness in Aug. 16 assault.Portland police and the FBI asked the public to help identify numerous suspects involved in crimes that have occured during downtown protests.

Police released a photo of a potential witness to the high-profile beating of a truck driver on Aug. 16. Police have probable cause to arrest Marquise Love, 25, for the assault. The witness may have had contact with Love at Lownsdale Square earlier that evening, police said.

Also on Aug. 20, the FBI released pictures of suspects in thefts and an arson at the Justice Center, Chase Bank and other locations on the night of May 29. Police said the rioters started multiple fires in the city and looters targeted banks, marijuana dispensaries, liquor stores, electronic stores and department stores in the downtown area.
