Police do not immediately identify those killed in an early Tuesday shooting near Force Lake.

KOIN 6 NEWS - The scene of the Monday morning shootingPolice are investigating a shooting that left two people dead in North Portland early Tuesday.

The names of the victims were not immediately released.

According to police, just after 5 a.m. on Sept. 29, officers responded to a report of a shooting near North Victory Boulevard and North Force Avenue. Police confirmed to KOIN 6 News that two people are dead in a parking lot near Force Lake.

No other details were immediately available. Police are requesting that people avoid the area of North Victory Boulevard near Force Avenue.

This is the second shooting in two days. According to police, at 12:52 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 28, North Precinct officers responded to the 8200 block of Northeast Sandy Boulevard on reports of a shooting. When officers arrived at the scene they found evidence of a shooting but no victim was located.

At 1:38 a.m., an area hospital reported an adult male victim who walked in with a gunshot wound. His injuries were non-life-threatening.
