NCSD's Sabin-Schellenberg Center will be going live election night with advanced students in its broadcasting and journalism classes on the SSC Facebook page.
"Instead of our usual broadcast out of the television studio, we are going to stream via Google Meets to the Facebook page," said SSC broadcasting and journalism teacher Deborah Barnes. "Thanks to Shemia Fagan, Kim Thatcher, Congressman Kurt Schrader and those who are sponsoring or opposing the state ballot measures for consenting to be interviewed for the show."
Student achors Bryan Jones and Kayla Ingraham will host live coverage beginning at 8 p.m., while journalism students will be posting live updates to the student newspaper at thecompassncsd.com.
Election-night coverage will be their Capstone Project, intended to give students the opportunity to showcase their learning about civics and journalism.
