Police looking for Marion County escapee
Police are asking for the public's help to find a man who walked away from Marion County Sheriff's Office Transition Center Wednesday, Oct. 21.
Arlo Daniel Silbernagel, 34, was in custody for a parole violation. He walked away at around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 21.
He is described as an adult white male with blue eyes and brown hair. He is 6 feet tall and weighs 150 pounds.
Silbernagel's rap sheet goes back to 2013, according to court records, with his first felony in 2016 when he was convicted of unlawful entry into a motor vehicle and theft in the first degree.
Most recently, in June, Silbernagel was convicted of tampering with drug records and sentenced to one month of incarceration at Marion County Jail. At that time, he was also convicted of theft in the first degree for a November 2019 crime and sentenced to 24 months of probation.
The transition center prepares adults in custody for re-entry into the community prior to release from custody, according to the sheriff's office. They are allowed to leave the facility for pre-approved treatment or medical appointments.
Anyone with information about Silbernagel should call the Marion County Sheriff's Office at 503-588-5032.
