Ballots continue flooding into election offices
The weekend before the general election, ballots are continuing to surge into county election offices.
The Multnomah County Elections Division reported receiving 68% of ballots by Saturday, Oct. 31. That compares to 48% the Saturday before the November 2016 general election, the last one with a presidential race.
Oregon election officials report that 61% of statewide ballots had been returned by Saturday. That compares to 42% by the same time in 2016.
Election day is Tuesday, Nov. 3. Ballots must be physically delivered to county election offices or secure drop boxes by 8 p.m. to be counted. Locations of official drop sites in Multnomah County can be found at the county's website.
