UPDATE: Kerezsi's family confirmed she has been located and is safe.
Nadiya Kerezsi, 16, was last heard from when she walked to Grant Park near Northeast 41st Avenue Saturday afternoon to meet with friends. Her parents said Monday afternoon they haven't seen or heard from her since then.
Kerezsi is 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighs about 110 pounds, with black hair and blue eyes. She has a septum piercing and was wearing a black jacket, light blue jeans, white high-top shoes and a black backpack when she left home Saturday.
She is a sophomore at Grant High School and lives with her father in Portland. Family said it was not uncommon for her to meet up with friends at a nearby park when the weather is nice.
"All of her friends we've been able to contact, none of them have seen her," said Christie Doss, Kerezsi's mother. "Her phone is dead and hasn't been turned on."
Doss said her daughter's school and principal have been notified, as well as the Portland Police Bureau.
PPB confirmed a runaway report has been shared with detectives. Anyone with information regarding Kerezsi's whereabouts or safety is urged to call the Portland Police non-emergency line at (503) 823-3333.
"People should let us know where she was seen, what she was wearing, and her last known direction of travel or anyone she might be with," Officer Derek Carmon said.
