Driver killed in single-vehicle North Portland crash
A driver was killed in a single-vehicle crash in North Portland on Monday, Feb. 8.
The name of the victim was not immediately released.
According to police, at about 12:59 p.m. on Feb. 8, officers responded to a single-vehicle crash near the 5000 block of North Columbia Boulevard. When officers responded, they found a vehicle had crashed into a tree and the driver was dead. There were no other occupants.
The Portland Police Bureau Major Crash Team responded. All lanes of North Columbia Boulevard in the area of North Portsmouth Avenue and North Fiske Avenue were closed during the preliminary stages of the investigation.
It was the 8th fatal crash in Portland so far in 2021.
