Police ID victim in Southeast Portland fatal stabbing
One person is dead following an early Wednesday, Feb. 10, stabbing in the Lents area of Southeast Portland.
On Feb. 11, officers identified the man who was killed as 28-year-old Cory Zenuch.
Zenuch had been a resident of Oakland in Douglas County in recent years, and sometimes went by the name Cory James. He had also spent time residing in Beaverton, Portland and Sherwood, per records.
According to police, at 12:50 a.m. on Feb. 10, officers responded to a report of a stabbing in the 4700 block of Southeast 83rd Avenue. When they arrived, the officers determined that a person had been stabbed and did not survive.
Police secured the scene and detectives took over the investigation. The cause and manner of death will be determined by the Oregon State Medical Examiner's office. No suspect information has been released, either.
