Police identify victim in 'suspicious' death
A suspicious death investigation is underway in the Lloyd District neighborhood.
Portland police have identified the victim as 57-year-old James Setty. The Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office determined Setty died from stab wounds and ruled the death a homicide.
No suspect information was available.
According to police, at 2:12 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, Central Precinct officers responded to a report of a medical check on a person down on the east end of the Broadway Bridge. When officers arrived, they located a dead person with suspicious injuries.
Detectives are investigating. The eastbound lanes of the Broadway Bridge were closed to North Larrabee Avenue during the early stages, but since have reopened.
