The Washington County Sheriff's Office has identified the victim as 86-year-old Donald Ray Harvey.

The WCSO said the driver has been located and the suspect vehicle has been recovered, but did not immediately provide any more details.

According to the WCSO, around 7:40 p.m. Feb. 20, deputies responded to a report of an injured pedestrian near Southwest Clark Hill Road and Tile Flat Road in unincorporated Beaverton. A motorist driving in the area noticed there was a man lying near the roadway and stopped to check on him. Witnesses found that the male was gravely injured and that it appeared he had been hit by a car.

When deputies arrived, they confirmed Harvey was dead. Based on evidence found in the roadway, it appeared he was walking on Southwest Clark Hill Road when he was hit by a metallic gold 2004-09 Lexus RX330 or RX400.

The Washington County Crash Analysis Reconstruction Team responded to the scene and is leading the investigation.
