Police identify Sunday fatal shooting victim
Police are investigating two shootings on Sunday, March 28, one of them fatal.
Police identified the homicide victim as Kim Lambright, 53, of Portland. An autopsy determined her death was a homicide by gunshot.
Southwest Barbur Boulevard and Southwest Capitol Highway intersect in two different places. Lambright was found near the intersection of these two roads by the Hillsdale and South Portland neighborhoods.
Before that, at 5:29 a.m. on Sunday, North Precinct officers responded to a report of someone shot in the 9600 block of Northeast Sandy Boulevard. When officers arrived, they located an adult male victim. Paramedics with Portland Fire & Rescue and American Medical Response treated the victim and he was transported to a hospital by ambulance. His injuries were serious but not believed to be life-threatening.
Officers located a crime scene at Northeast 95th Avenue and Northeast Wygant Street. The Enhanced Community Safety Team responded to investigate.
