Suspect at-large; second time gunfire has occurred at Troutdale Motel 6 this month

At about 2:45 a.m. Thursday, April 15, deputies responded to reports of a shooting at the Motel 6, 1610 N.W. Frontage Road. They found one victim, who was transported to the hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to law enforcement, the adult male suspect fled the motel prior to the deputies' arrival. No arrests have been made.

During an investigation, the detectives learned the suspect and victim engaged in an argument before the shooting. The two men allegedly did not know each other.

Deputies do not believe the public is in danger.

This is the second shooting to take place at the Troutdale Motel 6 this month. Two men — Farah Mahad, 35, and Hung Cam Tat, 34 — fired a shot while stealing a BMW in the motel parking lot Thursday, April 1. No one was hurt in that carjacking, and deputies said the victim knew the two men arrested.
