Reported as potential crash, police find plane landed safely off South Feyrer Park Road

Viewing what they thought might be a plane crash near Molalla on Wednesday, June 9, someone in the area called emergency dispatch to report the event.

When Clackamas County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the 15,000 block of South Feyrer Park Road, however, they found that while the plane had landed in a location other than an airport, no one appeared to be injured, and the plane was fully intact, police said.

The pilot of a Diamond DA21 C1 Eclipse had reported a fuel and oil-pressure issue. Unable to reach an airport, the pilot opted to land in a cow pasture at a nearby ranch.

When deputies arrived, the plane was safely landed, coming to rest with its nose barely touching a fence.
