Police investigating Northeast Portland shooting
A man was shot in the leg and seriously injured in a Northeast Portland shooting early Thursday morning.
The name of the victim was not immediately released. No suspect information was available, either.
According to the Portland Police Bureau, officers responded to Northeast Grand Avenue near Northeast Holladay Street after reports of shots fired came in around 3:30 a.m. According to the bureau, a man went into a hotel saying that he had been shot. When officers reached the scene, they found him with a serious leg injury.
Officers attempted to stem the bleeding by using a tourniquet before the victim was sent to a hospital. His injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.
