One adult male, Rashun C. Tyler, 24, was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center on six counts of Robbery in the First Degree. A juvenile male was booked into the Donald E. Long Juvenile Detention Center on charges of six counts of Robbery in the First Degree. Two juvenile females were released to guardians without charges. A fifth suspect is still at large.

Residents in Portland's Northeast neighborhood of Wilkes had to shelter in place beginning around 5 a.m. July 18 following a report of three armed suspects running into the area after escaping police in Southeast Portland.

According to the Portland Police Bureau, officers first responded to a reported armed robbery of a convenience store near Southeast Holgate and 104th Street. Ten minutes later, suspects matching the same description were reported at Southeast Foster and 110th attempting to rob another convenience store.

The suspects were then located in a vehicle nearby and an officer attempted to pull it over, but the car sped off. The pursuit led officers to Northeast Portland where the suspects got out of the vehicle and ran into the Wilkes neighborhood. An airsoft rifle was recovered from the vehicle.

A perimeter was set up between Northeast Halsey Street to San Rafael Street as well as Northeast 157th to 162nd Avenue. An hour into establishing the perimeter, one patrolling officer said he recognized the passengers in a rideshare vehicle as one of the suspects. Officers stopped the vehicle and arrested the four occupants without incident. An airsoft pistol was recovered under a seat. The driver is cooperating with the investigation.

A fifth suspect allegedly involved in at least one of the incidents is still at large. The suspect was not believed to be in the Wilkes neighborhood.

No injuries were reported.

Robbery detectives are investigating the following convenience store robberies associated with the case:

2:19a.m.: 6000 block of Northeast Win Sivers Rd

2:46a.m.: 6200 block of Northeast Sandy Boulevard

4:41a.m.: 7100 block of Southeast Powell Boulevard

5:00a.m.: 10300 block of Southeast Holgate Boulevard

5:04a.m.: 11000 block of Southeast Foster Road

Another case in Wood Village is being investigated by rhe Multnomah County Sheriff's Office.

Officers have since closed down the perimeter.
