Two killed, others wounded in early Tuesday shooting
Two people were killed and several others wounded during an early morning shooting Tuesday in Northeast Portland.
The names of the victims were not immediately released. No suspect information was available, either.
According to the Portland Police Bureau, the incident occurred shortly before 5:30 a.m. Aug. 10 near Northeast 82nd Avenue and Fremont Street. It was not immediately clear exactly how many people were involved in the shooting.
Police say the shooting started at Northeast Beech Street but stretched all over the place. A heavy police presence was at the scene. Northeast 82nd Avenue was blocked between Northeast Sandy Boulevard and Northeast Klickitat Street for the investigation, and officials said the closure is expected to last through the morning commute.
This is a developing story and will be updated when more information is available.
