Law enforcement received report of gunfire near the intersection of Jacoby Road and Cascadia Village Drive last night. No injuries are reported, though there was allegedly damage to one of the vehicles of the involved parties.

Initial investigation surmised that people in two vehicles had been involved in a drug deal outside the Sandy city limits, then entered the city where gunfire ensued.

One of the men involved called 911 and is cooperating with police. Four others reportedly fled the scene in what was described as a teal-colored Honda hatchback. The occupants of the hatchback were all described as male, and speculated to be from the Troutdale area.

"We have pulled additional resources to investigate and process the evidence from this incident," said Sandy Police Lt. Sean Lundry. "At this point, there is no reason to believe that there is an active threat to the public or the citizens of Sandy."
