Victim identified in NE Portland shooting
Police have identified the man shot and killed in Northeast Portland on Tuesday night.
He is David Sanders, 32. The Oregon State Medical Examiner's Officer determined his cause and manner of death to be homicide by gunshot wound. Sanders' family has been notified.
No one has been arrested and no suspect information is available.
According to the Portland Police Bureau, at 10:04 p.m. on Nov. 23, East Precinct officers were dispatched to a report of shots fired in the area of the 1300 block of Northeast 162nd Avenue. When officers arrived, they found an adult male victim who appeared to have been shot.
The victim was transported to an area hospital where he later died. The victim's identity, as well as cause and manner of death, will be determined by the Oregon State Medical Examiner.
Police said the one or more suspect left the scene and have not been located.
