Man killed late Tuesday in Eliot neighborhood
A man was shot and killed late Monday in Northeast Portland.
The name of the victim was not immediately released. No one was arrested and no suspect information was immediately available.
According to the Portland Police Bureau, at 11 p.m. on Jan. 17, North Precinct officers responded to a shooting call at the intersection of Northeast Ivy Street and Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. When officers arrived, they located a male victim who was deceased.
Homicide detectives responded to conduct the investigation. Ivy Street was closed from MLK Jr. Boulevard to Rodney Avenue for several hours.
The identity of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be determined by the Oregon State Medical Examiner.
