Fire damages apartment in downtown Portland
Firefighters battled a 2-alarm blaze at a multi-level apartment complex in downtown Portland early Wednesday, June 29.
No injuries were immediately reported.
{obj:63849:Portland Fire & Rescue tweeted} at 6:09 a.m. that crews were on scene of the fire near Southwest 12th and Alder. Flames and smoke were reportedly billowing from a fifth floor apartment unit as crews arrived.
The blaze was contained to a single unit and put out in a matter of eight minutes, according to PF&R.
