Three to step down in June from the leadership of the King City Civic Assocition.

A slate of candidates applied to help lead the King City Civic Association, the governance body of the 55-and-older community within King City.

Candidates who have applied to run for the Board of Directors so far include: Paul Downing, Carolyn Griffith, Laurie Petrie, Michelle Faber, James Trees, Helen Harper and Judy Holmes.

The terms of three current members of the Board are expiring in June: President Paul Downing, Secretary Valerie Schuyler and Director Carolyn Griffith.

The candidates who will be nominated by the KCCA Nominating Committee were not announced prior to the Regal Courier's May edition publication. April 23 — after the paper's deadline — was the release date for the names of nominated candidates.

All candidates are residents of the KCCA.

The three people who receive the most votes in the June election will serve three-year terms.

Candidates are invited to speak to KCCA members at the annual membership Meeting on Tuesday, May 21.

Remaining Board members include current Vice President Rob Cavasher; Treasurer Steve Garner; and Directors Diana Platika and Sandi Fuhrman.
