King City Police Log: Aug. 18-30, 2020
Tuesday, Aug. 18
• While on routine patrol, police found a person who had already been given two trespass notices from the former Columbia Bank property. Police issued a citation in lieu of arrest with a court date and lodged them at the Washington County Jail on an outstanding arrest warrant.
Monday, Aug. 24
• Police were performing a premise check at Deer Creek Elementary School and witnessed a driver pull into the school parking lot, exit the vehicle and urinate. The driver got back in his car and drove off. Police followed the driver and initiated a traffic stop for failure to yield and speeding. Officers observed a strong odor of alcoholic beverages and arrested the driver for drunken driving. He was released to the custody of his girlfriend.
Wednesday, Aug. 26
• During a traffic stop, police found the driver's license to be revoked, and that they had an outstanding arrest warrant.
Sunday, Aug. 30
• Police took multiple reports from victims of car prowls overnight in the Edgewater on the Tualatin neighborhood.
