There is no doubt about it — 2020 has been a difficult year for all of us.
But through all of 2020's turmoil, our educators have held strong.
Faced with statewide lockdowns due to the pandemic last spring, they turned their traditional teaching models upside down to accommodate distance learning. They've stayed ready for the anticipated return to in-person school, and through it all, these educators have remained focused on what's most important — the care and education of their students.
Now, it's time to honor some of these Amazing Educators.
If you know an educator who has gone above and beyond the call of duty, Pamplin Media Group wants to know about it. Nominations are open now for PMG's first-ever Amazing Educators special section that will appear in more than 20 of our newspapers in late February.
Nominations for our Amazing Educators special section are due by Jan. 4 of 2021 at cli.re/AmazingEducators. Make sure to tell us about the amazing educator in your child's life by providing their name, school and the story behind why they are amazing.
Who can be an Amazing Educator? Anyone who works or volunteers in a public school, private school, community college or university located in one of the communities served by a Pamplin Media Group newspaper.
The Amazing Educators special section will be inserted and distributed in Pamplin Media Group publications in February, reaching more than 425,000 readers.
