Despite some cancellations due to the pandemic, a light is beginning to appear at the end of the tunnel.

Another year as Winter Golf ends and the final luncheon had to be cancelled as we are still under Covid-19 restrictions, although there is a light at the end of that tunnel as more of us are vaccinated. Sylvia Dorney was able to hand out prizes and monies in the club house rather than outside this year. Also, this year golfers only had to complete 5 rounds versus the 7 last year. Congrats to all!

Our winners and their silly prizes included: Most balls in the water, Jan Meek, a ducky;

Most balls in the sand, Barbara Miller, cup of sand; Most balls out of bounds, Marilyn Launder (Marilyn also won for most trees hit on a drive), OB post and decorative tree.

Please welcome Tori Gallagher, Cheryl Day and Vickie Edwards; the 6th, 7th and 8th resident to join SWCG this year. We are so happy to have all our newcomers.

The 2021 Season began on Tuesday April 13. Sign up for the season was held on April 6 for those interested in Putts Pot, Eclectic, Golf 18 and this year's Spring Tournament scheduled for May 11 and 13.

Membership books were also available. Masks, social distancing and only one-person per cart are still required. A couple of changes have been noted as we are requested to use "cart path only" on all Par 3s. Also, the Member/Guest Play Day and Luncheon scheduled for June 10 has been postponed until next year. We can only hope that many of our postponements will come to an end sometime this golf season!
