A robbery in Oregon City led to a pursuit into Inner Southeast Portland...and eventually an arrest

On March 14, at about 12:07 p.m., an armed robbery occurred at the Oregon City Fred Meyer, 1839 Molalla Avenue. Prior to police arriving, the suspect fled the scene in a silver Nissan Cube.

Police located the suspect vehicle on northbound I-205 near Gladstone; and when they attempted to stop the car, the suspect fled and a vehicle pursuit ensued. The suspect vehicle fled into Southeast Portland, and was found abandoned shortly afterward near S.E. 93rd Avenue at Duke Street. A search for the suspect at that time was unsuccessful, but detectives investigating the case identified 33-year-old Jacob D. Bundy of Hillsboro as the robbery suspect.

On March 22, Portland Police Officers located Mr. Bundy and he was taken into custody. Jacob Bundy was subsequently lodged in the Clackamas County Jail for Robbery I - $250,000 bail; Menacing - $2,500 bail; Theft II - $2,500 bail; and a no-bail parole violation warrant. No one was injured during the armed robbery. Detectives are continuing with their investigation.
