Man wounded by gunfire on SE Powell Blvd
On Saturday night, May 19, at 9:40 p.m., East Precinct officers were called to the 9900 block of S.E. Powell Boulevard where a man had been shot.
Officers found an adult male victim suffering from what was believed to be serious, but non-life-threatening, gunshot wounds. Officers applied a tourniquet; when emergency medical responders arrived, they provided the man medical aid and transported him to an area hospital by ambulance.
Officers searched the area for possible suspects, additional victims, and evidence of the shooting, but at the time did not find the suspect associated with this shooting. There is no suspect description available to share with the public at this time.
Detectives with the Portland Police Bureau Detective Division's Assault Detail are continuing the investigation. Anyone with information about this shooting should contact the Assault Detail at 503/823-0479.
