Possible gang shooting in Southeast injures one
Sunday December 2, at 8:03 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to a reported shooting in the area of S.E.135th Avenue and Division Street.
Arriving officers and medical personnel found an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot injury to the leg. The man, who has not yet been publicly identified, was transported by ambulance to a Portland hospital for treatment, and is expected to survive.
Witnesses told police that the suspect left the area in a dark-colored smaller car, last seen northbound on S.E. 136th Avenue. Based on the initial investigation, the Portland Police Bureau does not believe that there is any immediate danger to the community-at-large.
The PPB Gun Violence Response Team (GVRT) responded to conduct an investigation into the shooting.
