The man in jail on charges stemming from this Southeast shooting faces 'Attempted Murder',,,

DAVID F. ASHTON - After police found a gun believed to have been used in the shooting, its owner was handcuffed, searched, and taken into custody. Reports of a shooting on S.E. Flavel Drive, near Lambert Street, on Tuesday afternoon, August 25, brought eleven East Precinct police cruisers at 2:50 p.m., and the crew riding Woodstock Fire Station's Engine 25 responded as well, as did an ambulance.

"Officers found an adult male victim with several gunshot wounds," explained PPB Public Information Officer Melissa Newhard. "The victim was transported to a hospital by ambulance, and his medical status is unknown.

"The suspected shooter was located in a vehicle near the crime scene, and was taken into custody by officers; a handgun was also recovered from inside the vehicle."

Arrested was 56-year-old Craig Allen Brazille, who was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center at 8 p.m. that evening on charges of a Assault I, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon (Firearm).

However, at his arraignment, Brazille learned he'd face an additional charge of Second degree Attempted Murder, a Class A Felony. Currently, he is being held at Multnomah County Inverness Jail pending trial, in lieu of $505,000 combined bail.
