Powell Boulevard -- State Highway 26 -- experienced more than one fatal crash in the last month

A pedestrian, later identified as 47-year-old Angela C. Boyd of Portland, was struck and killed along S.E. Powell Boulevard near 47th Avenue at about 10:15 p.m. on Wednesday night, April 4. Portland Police Bureau officers were sent to investigate, along with members of the Major Crash Team.

Witnesses told officers that the driver who hit the victim fled eastbound on Powell Boulevard, and so far has not been located.

"Physical evidence found at the scene, and surveillance video, indicate the suspect vehicle is a late-model dark gray Subaru Impreza/Crosstrek with a rooftop carrier and black wheels — and it sustained extensive front end damage," a PPB spokesperson reported.

From a video provided to THE BEE, we captured and enhanced still images from a nearby security camera to help identify the vehicle. Hopefully someone will recognize the car.
