Pastry bakery opens on SE Bybee in Westmoreland
A new pastry shop – "Twisted Patisserie Bakery" – has opened in Westmoreland, in the space formerly occupied by Marsee Baking, at 1625 S.E. Bybee Boulevard, just west of Milwaukie Avenue. The new shop seats about 25 indoors at this time, and also offers take-out orders.
Manager Katie Groesbeck tells THE BEE, "Our signature croissant is the raspberry one, but other customer favorites are our caramel cheesecake topped with chocolate bits, and our choquettes – paté a choux with a crunchy, sweet outside." Other specialties include a raspberry rose "cruffin", and maple banana doughnuts.
Groesbeck continues, "We plan to change items on our website – www.twistedcroissant.com – every season. This website is also where you can pre-order items for take-out. You can also phone us here at 503/206-4901. We serve Stumptown Coffee and jasmine pearl tea, and for the kids there are chocolate milk and juices to drink."The bright yellow storefront welcomes shoppers from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m., seven days a week – although Groesbeck says they may extend their hours in the future.
