ALL DECEMBER

Lit Christmas displays on Duke Street through New Year's Eve: Drive by, or take a stroll past, the Apostolic Faith Church campground on S.E. Duke Street from 52nd Avenue eastward to enjoy thousands of lights, a life-size nativity, and "the tallest decorated Christmas tree in Southeast Portland". Lights will be on daily from dusk to dawn, the entire Holiday period, through the end of the year. Seasonal music will also be playing from 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. each evening. Viewing is only possible from the public sidewalk and street; the church hopes to return to its established family celebration on-site next year – "but until then, Merry Christmas and happy New Year from the Christmas on the Campground team!"

DECEMBER 21 Solstice service at Mt. Scott Presbyterian: Mt. Scott Park Presbyterian Church invites the community to a "Longest Night" service at 7 p.m. this evening, open to all. "The service recognizes that the Holidays often include feelings of grief, loss, and regret, and will hold a sacred space in which we can both honor our losses and look for hope". Mt.
