Lake Oswego representative led with 70% of vote in early returns Tuesday night.

House Rep. Andrea Salinas, D-Lake Oswego, is well on her way to winning another term based on early election returns.

Salinas, who has represented District 38 since 2017, held a commanding 70% of the vote in early returns Tuesday night. Republican challenger Patrick Castles came in with 30% of the vote. Salinas

17,522 ballots had been counted as of Tuesday night.

"I woke up this morning full of gratitude and hope. I am humbled and honored to have received the confidence of House District 38 voters to return to Salem as their state representative," Salinas said in a Facebook post Wednesday morning. "I am deeply grateful for the support of my family who volunteer and make sacrifices which allow me to do the work I do for the people of Oregon. I could not do this work without your guidance, help and love."

District 38 includes Lake Oswego and southwest Portland.
