Two romantic movies will be played each night from Feb. 12 to Feb. 14. A four-course dinner can also be purchased.

COURTESY PHOTO - The classic 2004 romantic drama 'The Notebook' will be one of the movies shown Feb. 14.Those who thought that dinner and a movie for Valentine's Day during the COVID-19 pandemic was only a wish, your wish has been granted — at least for three nights in February.

On Feb. 12-14, Treadway Events & Entertainment will host Love Struck Drive-In at the Washington Square mall.

During those nights, drive-in goers can enjoy two classic romantic comedy/tearjerker movies each of those nights, along with a complementary bottle of Willamette Valley Vineyards wine, starting at $94.99 per carload of guests.

Movies are as follows: Feb. 12: "P.S. I Love" and "The Proposal," Feb. 13: "10 Things I Hate About You" and "She's All That" and Feb. 14: "The Notebook" and "A Walk to Remember." (While there is no age requirement to get in, keep in mind that the films have PG and R ratings.)

Each night's event runs from 6 to 10 p.m. and will be held near the Washington Square parking structure and the former Sears building, 9585 S.W. Washington Square Road.

For those who want to treat theirs dates to a more elegant evening, $149.99 (plus fees) will get you not only the two movies and bottle of wine but also a four-course dinner provided by Pearl Catering as well as a drive-thru photo op.

The dinner includes an appetizer along with a main dinner entrée choice of chicken breast marinated in fresh rosemary and balsamic vinegar, all pan- roasted with fresh lemon, or a vegetarian/vegan entrée of black quinoa salad complete with vine-ripened tomatoes, cucumbers, snap peas, shredded carrots and red peppers.

A salad and side dishes of Yukon gold mashed potatoes and wood-grilled vegetables are included, too, with a mini cheesecake for dessert.

Organizers are encouraging those who can't shut off their headlights when the key is turned in the ignition to bring a towel or blanket to place over their vehicle headlights.

In addition, popcorn can be purchased on-site, and the event sponsor promises to jump-start any car batteries that die during the course of the evening.

All tickets must be purchased online and can only be used for the specific nights that they are purchased.
