Oregon's education system is failing our children. We need solutions-oriented people to make change.

Oregon is experiencing an education crisis, and our students desperately need change.

As a mom of three teenagers, I have witnessed our education system's standards decline over the years, and it's horrifying. Test results recently released by the Department of Education confirmed what I've witnessed. Only 28% of Oregon 3rd through 8th graders are at grade level in math. Only 28%. This can not be blamed completely on the pandemic. Only 40% were at grade level in math before the pandemic. Some Oregon schools have less than 5% at grade level. This is unacceptable. The state is failing our children. Politics are failing our children.

Alistair Firmin is a pro-choice, pro-LGBTQ, pro-gun safety father who has been nominated by the Republican and Independent parties to go to Salem and to find solutions for this terrible state of education. The current supermajority of Democrats in charge is failing our children year after year. Nothing will change if we leave the same people in charge. We need data-driven solutions oriented people like Alistair so that our state can fix this education crisis and give our kids a shot at being competitive after high school. Join me in voting for Alistair to improve the education of all of our kids!
