Looking ahead for the New Year and remembering days past
It's the final article in the Spotlight for the year and I want to wish everybody a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
This year, 2019 was our biggest year ever, thanks to the support of our customers. We appreciate it. Every year we seem to get bigger and help more people. We continue to expand and add new products. I am pleased to tell you 2020 will not disappoint you: we are bringing in new interesting product, so come on in and see what's new at Dahlgren's.
As the markets evolve in this county small businesses like mine have a hard time competing against online and big-box stores; it takes effort on our part and Dahlgren's has a great staff:
Laken, Farm and Ranch Division Manager has done an outstanding job and has a bright future.
Larry handles our pole barns, siding and metal roofing. He too has done a great job.
Scott, Operations Manager, deals with contractors to make sure they get what they need on time.
Without these people, we'd be nothing. I want my customers to understand that quality staff is vital to the success of any small business and we certainly have a good staff.
I reflect back to the old days when I was 15 and helping Dad, many days just us two. Things change, but really they don't change. Back then we sold energy logs or coal, today we sell wood pellets and propane. Thankfully we don't deal in coal anymore, I don't miss hauling in 100-pound sacks of coal.
I wish everyone a great New Year and look forward to seeing you in 2020.
