I'm frequently asked "what exactly are those needling's doing?" While we could explain it in very complex long drawn esoteric ways there is a much simpler understanding. Thee mechanism of acupuncture is validated and proved by research and scientific literature. I was in the US Marine Corp some odd 30 years

ago and we had a saying, stolen from Einstein, "if you can't simply explain it, you simply don't understand it." I have kept this value with me on most things in my life.

Acupuncture, simply, ignites the body's own self-healing process. We all know and can prove the body will try to heal itself, whether it is a cut, a bruise, a cold or flu. At times the body is successful, you get a small cut and the body heals, presto! Issue resolved. Other times the body gets sick and is UNABLE to heal itself and it needs additional help, such as a cut so big it needs stitches.

Acupuncture stimulates nerves that alert the body that it needs help. How does it help the body? The needle makes the body stimulate and release chemicals into the bloodstream that heal the body.

Think of a cast on a broken arm. Does the cast heal the broken arm? NO, of course not, the cast supports the broken bone so the BODY can, over time, heal the bone. Think of stitches for cuts. Do the stitches actually heal the body? Of course not! The stitches assist the body in keeping the wound closed so the body can heal itself.

The same for acupuncture. Does the needle in the body actually heal the problem? No! The needle itself doesn't heal the tissue BUT it stimulates the nerves to talk to the brain and body to release healing chemicals into the bloodstream to heal the body.

Acupuncture is not steeped in magic nor allusion. It's a medical modality that can be used for many conditions to ease your pain and suffering without shots, surgeries, drugs and/or all the side effects that come with the pre-mentioned ideas.
