St. Helens acoustical ceiling tile manufacturer seeks air quality permit renewal

The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality invites the public to submit written comments on the conditions of Armstrong World Industries Inc.'s proposed air quality permit renewal.

The existing permit expired in 2015 and has been administratively extended. The renewed permit includes emission limits for fine particulate matter and greenhouse gases. It also includes new national emission standard requirements for hazardous air pollutants for commercial, industrial and institutional boilers, according to the DEQ public notice. Located in St. Helens, AWI produces acoustical ceiling tiles. Comments can be submitted by mail to: NWR AQ Permit Coordinator, 700 NE Multnomah St., Suite 600, Portland, OR, 97232.
