Home considered a total loss. One person treated on site for smoke inhalation, family being assisted by Red Cross

A Rainier family was displaced by a fire in their home on Sunday, Sept. 3.

Columbia River Fire and Rescue personnel responded to the 72000 block of Beaver Springs Road at 4:08 a.m.

When crews arrived, the family's double-wide mobile home was fully involved in flames. Clatskanie Fire District and the Oregon Department of Forestry also assisted with the fire.

Two adults, one child and one family pet were able to get out of the home safely before crews arrived. One person was treated on site for smoke inhalation, but denied transport to the hospital.

The home was considered a total loss and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The family is being assisted by the American Red Cross.
