Swearing in for new St. Helens Police Department officer
Adam Hartless, who has been working as St. Helens Police Department's code enforcement officer, is pinned by his father, John Millar, on Wednesday, Sept. 19, at a St. Helens City Council work session. During Wednesday's ceremony, Hartless was promoted to patrol officer and took his oath of office. A large group of his family and friends attended the ceremony. Hartless entered the police academy this month and is expected to graduate in November. He was first hired as the city's code enforcement officer in 2017 and previously worked for a private security company in Portland.
