St. Helens police seek information following report of males who yelled racial slurs and threw a soda can at woman and 12-year-old daughter

SPOTLIGHT FILE - St. Helens police officers are asking the public for information related to a Thursday, Oct. 4, incident involving unidentified males who threw a soda can and yelled racial slurs at a woman and her daugther. The St. Helens Police Department is seeking help from the public to identify suspects in a case of harassment involving a woman and her 12-year-old daughter who were the targets of racial slurs and had a soda can thrown at them.

SHPD officers responded to the intersection of St. Helens and North 18th streets at 3:21 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 4, where the woman was walking with her daughter when the incident occurred.

The woman reported two or three males were in a gray or green pickup truck and that someone threw the can at her and her daughter and yelled racial slurs.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing and anyone with additional information about this case is asked to call non-emergency dispatch at 503-397-1521 and ask to speak with St. Helens Officer Seann Luedke.
